From the front door, the hall leads into the dining room (17sq m) through a wide archway. The room gives great flow between the sitting room, separated by double glass doors and the open-plan kitchen and to the deck. At night, the lights of Mapua and the ships waiting to enter Nelson harbour can be seen twinkling in the Tasman Bay.
A large window overlooks the Bay and is fitted with two retractable fly-screens.
There is a wall up-lighter and a central light fitting, with dimmer switch, above the dining table.
